I had the privilege of illustrating and developing the two main characters for this book, while also leading the creative direction of the project. My focus was to preserve a strong cultural foundation through thoughtful research, ensuring both authenticity and market appeal. The book introduces the core concepts of the “Day of the Dead” tradition using accessible language, vibrant colors, and charismatic characters. Through simple yet engaging visual elements, the story connects with readers in a meaningful and visually compelling way.
